学生通过感受两种不同的自然环境，激发学生热爱自然的意识。

Step 1: Greeting.T: Now let’s begin our class.Welcome to our class everyone.Step 2: Lead in.Watch a short MV.It is a song that was sung by Michael Jackson.When you listen to the song, please think about the questions: what can you see? How do you feel?

Then watch another video.Compare with the first one.Q: which kind of environment do you want to live in? What can we do to solve the problem?

学生能够通过教师引导，感知文章主题意义。

设计意图：通过视频信息冲击，让学生了解文章主题，体会我们现在生活环境的恶化，引导学生开始思考从自身来说可以做些什么？引出本课话题。

检测学生学习的效果

Step 3: Words and phrases.According to the pictures, we could get the new words in this lesson.Read after teacher, boys and girls read the words separate.Practice them for a lot of time.Then do the exercises on the learning paper.

设计意图：单词学习本是最基本的环节，但是学习需要一个更好的检测，否则教师不能准确把握到底是怎样的一个效果，通过学完单词顺便运用于语境当中，学生们对其使用环境有了更深刻的体会。

Step 4: listening.(listen and fill in the blanks)

1.Listen to the tape for twice.During the listening, students have to tick the items mentioned in the book.2.Find a student to check the answers.3.Others could give the different ideas.

设计意图：锻炼学生的听力能力，对课文内容有初步了解。

学生通过阅读文本，概括本文的主题。

Step 5: Reading

Part 1: Read the text and then answer the question.(give students 1 minute to read and then check the answers.)

What are Danny, Jenny and Brian talking about?

Part 2: Read the text again and answer the question: why do we need plants?

Give students 7 tips to talk about the reasons why plants are important.Students have to answer the question after they read the text for another time.And then talk about their answers in their groups.Then take a group show.

学生基本能够根据老师提示概况出植物重要性。

设计意图：通过阅读帮助学生锻炼从文本中获取有用信息的能力，通过设计不同的任务，有助于学生掌握植物的重要性，并构建文章框架，为后续有效输出打下基础。

引导学生根据文本信息，概括本文信息。

Step 6: Retelling.Divide the answers into 2 parts.And then they need to fill in the reasons about why plants are important in the mind map.Give them the lists.

学生通过复述文段真正的掌握课文内容，体会植物在各方面的重要性。

设计意图：通过学生复述课文，理清学生思维，明确热爱自然、爱护植物的重要性。通过小组讨论、配合，达到共同提高的目的。

学生根据所学内容和生活实际进行概括总结

Step 7: Writing.Plants are important

设计意图：通过前几个环节对本文语言知识和热爱自然意识方面的铺垫和积累，更方便同学们准确合理表达自己的观点。

锻炼学生们的口语表达、敢于表现

Step 8: Show time.Show their writing in front of the class.And then share the writing that are written by my students.Give an example, teach the structures.Then ask a question at the end of the composition.“What should we do to solve the problem?”

锻炼了学生的表达能力及口语展示。

设计意图：学生们分享自己作品体会其成就感，在分析其他同学作品的同时，学习写作的结构。通过学习别人的范文，谈到我们自己该如何去做。具体到日常生活中纸张浪费、爱护桌椅板凳等行为。

拓展视野

Step 9: Extended.Watch another video.Then they could get more information about the plants.

学生们兴趣高涨

设计意图：本环节主要是通过拓展相关植物图片，使学生学习到更多的有关常见及罕见的植物，产生爱护花草树木的怜悯心，起到教育的目的。

激发学生强烈的热爱之情

Step 10: Make a slogan.Look at the posters that were made by my students.And then call on the students to protect the environment.Then think about the slogans for their posters.

成品各式各样，都是对自然热爱的一种表达。

设计意图：通过老师展示的口号，学生们思考并写出自己的口号，再将口号表达出来，起到号召的作用，增强热爱自然的意识。

Step 12: Homework:

必做: 1.Review this lesson.2.Do the exercise in “Learning English”.选做1： Finish the poster.选做 2: Give suggestions to your mayor: How to improve our environment?
