教具：多媒体（包含一段介绍美国国情的视频）、括号里面的内容可以不写出来黑板既然写了黑板，肯定是要用黑板，所以有粉笔

教学对象分析：学生整体基础能力好，自主学习能力较强。求知欲强，对英语学习持有浓厚的兴趣，敢于表现自我。在学习本课前，他们已经初步掌握如何介绍一个旅游景点的方法，具备良好的听说读写能力，能够用英语对一个地区进行简单介绍。教学目标：

知识与技能：1学生能够通过本课程的学习，在阅读中体会并初步掌握生词unrest,unemployment,former,dawn,plain,chief,widesperead,词组in vain,leave alone,insist on,as a result, take a chance,put on, on sale, in turn，2 学生能够体会文章如何进行内容安排以及写作顺序。过程与方法：1 学生通过快速阅读和精读课文，领会速读和精读的要领。

2 学生在阅读过程中会遇到很多阅读障碍，在老师正确引导下，通过读懂细节，推断隐含内容，掌握大意来获取所需信息，逐步掌握学习的调控策略。（稍微有点多）

情感态度与价值观：学生了解美国历史、文化、经济、地理相关知识，感受多远文化之美，陶冶情操，树立正确的人生观和价值观，正确对待中西方文化差异。

一、书面作业

1、每节课后教师可适当选择课后习题(书本或课外参考书）及字母作业。

2、低年纪的孩子适合听磁带读课文、画图、连线、写字母等简单作业；每学期两次测试：半期考和期末考试。

3、高年纪的孩子要求抄单词、背单词、背课文等书面作业；每节课前可做适当的听写练习；每个月可做适当的单元测试；期间两次大考：半期考和期末考。

二、磁带作业

1、适时布置(条件允许可每周一次）：将本周学习的内容录进磁带，下周上交。
