学习内容分析:

本课时是义务教育(PEP)小学英语教科书四年级下册的第三单元第4课时,课型为对话课,文本内容围绕“天气”这个话题展开,本课时侧重培养学生就天气这一话题展开问答的表达能力;本文在培养学生感知和表达天气状况方面有指导意义,并引发学生对于什么天气适合做什么活动的思考。本课时包括Let’s talk和Let’s play两个板块。Let’s talk是围绕本单元的总话题展开的第二个对话场景,即Chen Jie和Mark交流各自城市的天气状况,呈现了What’s the weather like in ...?及It’s ...等句型。Let’s play是针对以上句型进行的拓展训练,用以巩固重点句型的熟练程度。当然,这一部分需要关注到天气与气温的关系。

本课时在本单元中起巩固与延伸的作用,重点掌握What’s the weather like in ...?及It’s ... degrees.等句型。Chen Jie和Mark打电话交流各自城市的天气状况这一情境的加入使对话变得更加生动,从而使得整段对话更贴近现实生活,而非独立的句子,因此语篇意义同样值得引起学生的关注。

学情分析:

四年级的学生,有着三年级学习英语的经历,具备一定的语言感知能力,因此本课准备采用多次呈现对话情景动画,通过声形并茂的方式感染学生,使学生在新授之前,就可以了解对话内容,再鼓励学生模仿表演对话,感知新句型的应用功能,最后再提炼重点句型,通过游戏活动加以巩固。学生在三年级已经学过一些简单的形容词以及一般疑问句的问答,并且已经做到熟练运用,可以为本课的学习做好铺垫,新旧知识之间建立桥梁更能促进新知识的吸收。四年级学生年龄较小,学习积极性高,对英语学习充满兴趣,但是注意力不能较长时间的集中。为了稳定学生的学习兴趣,课堂上可以适当做一些游戏,通过适时的唱唱玩玩,培养学生学习的兴趣,使他们在轻松愉快的氛围中巩固所学知识。

四年级学生可塑性强,擅长模仿,好奇心强,勇于尝试新事物,对背诵诗歌、摇篮曲、听故事绕口令等活动表现出极大的兴趣。

学习目标:

1.通过各种课堂活动帮助学生理解和掌握对话中的What’s the weather like in ...?及It’s ... degrees.等句型,并能做到灵活运用;

2.在语境中利用参考词汇rainy, cold, warm, cool等就天气进行问答,并能正确发音;

3.能够听懂对话,完成听力练习。按照正确的语音、语调、意群朗读对话,并能进行角色表演;

4.了解并接受不同国家或地区计温方法的不同,包容世界文化的多样性。

5.选用恰当地策略和与方法小组合作完成学习任务。

学习重难点:

学习重点:学生能理解对话大意,并正确、熟练地朗读对话和分角色扮演,做到语调、重音地道自然,能在情境中恰当运用句型What’s the weather like in ...?询问某个城市的天气,以及用句型It’s ... degrees.表示温度。

学习难点:in后面要跟表示城市的地点名词,如Beijing, New York, Sydney, Toronto, London等,教师要适度强调。How about ...?表示询问对方同样的问题,回答方式与上文相同,此处教师也应该适度强调。

学习准备:PPT课件、视频、图片;教学一体机、实物投影仪等

学习时数:1课时

教学过程:

Step1 Warm up.

After greeting students I will invite students to sing a song called ‘What’s the weather’ like this.This can arouse students interest and get students move into the class more quickly and naturally.Then look at these pictures of four seasons and these words. Match and review.

Step2 Presentation.

Listen and tick:Where is Chen Jie and Mark?

Listen again and answer the questions.

What’s the weather like in New York and Beijing?Then check the answer.

Mark and Chen Jie are talking about the weather in their cities. Why Chen Jie says it’s warm but Mark thinks it’s cold? Let’s watch the video.Then discuss in your group.Because they are using different units of temperatures.

Next Let’s read and fill in the blanks.Please pay attention to the words about weather.It can improve their ability of extracting information.

Then listen and imitate.pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation.

Step3 Practice.

Let’s play a bomb game by using the sentences.It's an interesting way to help students remember the words and sentences.For example.

Let’s role-play between boys and girls.Role-play in groups.They will make a performance here.I will give them positive feed backs.For example:You did a good job!I like your pronunciation!Come on!and so on.

Step4 Production.

Wu Binbin and Amy are talking about weather. Let’s talk about the weather now. I ask you answer;Ask and answer in pairs.Use these sentence.

Now, Ss make a new conversation in their groups . I will invite a student to make a new dialogue with me. For example:

A: Hi, Amy. This is Miss Zhang.

B: Hi, What’s the weather like in New York?

A: It’s sunny and warm.How about Sydney?

B: It’s windy and cool.

They will have a show time in class,I will encourage them. Then make different evolution. This can help students improve their speaking ability and be confident in learning English.

Step5 Summary&Homework

Last step I will invite some students to summarize the class together.词汇: rainy、cool、warm、degree句型:What's the weather like in ...?It's ...Is it...? Yes.it is./No,it isn’t. How about...?

Homework:

1. 按照正确的语音、语调朗读并表演课文对话。

2. 根据课本P27 Let's play部分的图片,写2-3个句子,向你的朋友介绍你所在城市的天气。

3. 用句型“What’s the weather like in ...? It’s ...”和你的同学一起创编对话,并记录下来。

They need finish the homework of one and two stars. Making a new dialog is a creative way to help students consolidate what they have learned today.
