J: I am sorry I am not clear.Err...but I think Dave will reply to you as soon as the negotiation ends.(After an hour)D: Hello, Rachel, this is Dave speaking.We have talked with our partner.They say they will report our plan to the board of directors.R: OK, go on, don’t keep us in suspense.D: They said that they agreed with the order in principle but for some details.In order to express a sense of sincerity, they are putting forward a preliminary order for 3,000 suits.R:That’s really good news, Dave, well done!D: They will send us written confirmation of the order in a few days.Remember it is only a start.If all goes well with the first consignment, there could be a lot more orders to come.译文：
瑞秋：珍妮，伦敦那边有消息吗？ 珍妮：还没有，瑞秋。但是大卫不久前刚刚发过来一个邮件。他现在已经做出了成熟的谈判方案，而且主管也给他打过电话，通知他的邮件通过了。
瑞秋：我不关心这个，我们能够拿到订单吗？ 珍妮：对不起，我还不清楚。呃……但是我认为大卫会马上回复您，只要谈判一结束。
（一小时后）大卫：哦，是瑞秋吗？我是大卫。我们已经和我们的伙伴谈了。他们说会把我们的方案报告给董事会。
瑞秋：好的，继续，别让我们着急！大卫：他们说原则上通过订单，但是有一些细节待定。为了表达诚意，他们已决定首批订货 3000 套西服。
瑞秋：好消息。大卫，干得好！
大卫：他们几天后会把订单以书面的形式给我们发过来。记住，这只是个开始。如果第一笔订单顺利的话，以后还会有很多订单的。

J: Since you mentioned that, I do have a problem to solve.The materials we need are of shortage.We can not buy them in the market.R: Really? How about the Department of Procurement? J: They do not have any ideas.The only way to solve it is to spend more money.R: Let me think about it.译文：
