Teaching procedures:

Step 1 Preparation

Sing an English song with students to make our class relaxing. After that, show a short video. Ask students what we can do . And then introduce the topic and explain it. Before the class, let's have a group competition.

Step 2 Presentation

1.Watch the photos and talk about them"What does he do every day?" and learn these phrases: do chores, do the dishes, make the bed, take out the rubbish, fold the clothes, clean the living room and so on.

2.look these phrases and practice the conversation:

Could you please take out the rubbish?

Sure./ No problem./ Yes, I can./ All right.

Sorry, I can't. I have to finish homework first.

3.Do you do these chores at home? Discuss them with your partner. T gives students a model.

Step 3 Practice

Listen to the tape for the first time to answer the question: Who will do these chores?

Ask Ss to answer the question and give the comment. Listen to the tape for the second time to retell the material. Listen to the tape for the third time and fill in the blanks.

Step 4 Production

Make a report in the groups. Invite some of students to show it in front of class.

Step 5 Progress

Make a summary. Complete the exercise. Encourage students to do chores.

Step 6 Homework

List all the main phrases of doing chores that you know.

Make a conversation, using the sentence pattern: "Could you please……?"
