Unit 11 How was your school trip?

Section A 1a-1c

I. Analysis of the Teaching Material

本课以Carol农场游为话题,以谈论郊游感受和所见所做为主。在本课中,学生学习一部分农场相关单词和部分农场活动短语,以及动词过去式谈论农场活动句型。本课是该单元的第一课时,以听说为主。1a 视觉输入,通过主题图导入整个单元的语境和话题;引入本节课的重点词汇。1b 通过听力输入本单元的目标语言;再次巩固重点词汇并引入本节课的核心句型。1c 运用本节课的重点词汇和核心句型操练巩固,进行语言输出。各环节之间的联系:导入——听力输入——语言输出。

II. Analysis of the Students

郊游是学生放松和亲近大自然的方式之一,对于郊游这一话题,同学们应该非常感兴趣。语言知识上,学生学习过How is...? It is great/good/terrible.的特殊疑问;Do you ...?Yes , Ido. /No , I don’t.句型。对一些农场的词汇有所了解。但该班学生基础差,底子薄,开口难,在英语课堂上的积极程度不高,单词发音不标准,本课将利用音标规范单词发音,利用语境和活动激发学生的兴趣。

1III. Teaching Aims

1.1(1)Language Competence:

1.学生能够通过识图,拼读,识记词汇:farm,farmer,farming;horse,cow,chicken,rode,milked,went,fed,talked,took,was,were,saw.

2.运用动词短语(过去式):go for a walk,milk a cow,talk with a farmer,take photos,feed chickens;ride a horse 描述在农场发生的活动。掌握How was...? It was great/good/terrible.的特殊疑问;Did you ...?Yes , I did. /No , I didn’t.句型提问及回答,并能进行交际。

1.2(2)Learning Ability:

学生能利用音标学习单词发音并通过拼读规则识记单词;能利用图片对听力内容进行预测;总结动词 过去式变化规则。

1.3(3)Thinking Quality:

学生能利用图片、说出活动短语;能根据图片选择恰当短语来描述发生的事情。

1.4(4)Cultural awareness:

学生能了户外郊游活动,增强热爱生活,享受生活意识;能在语境中体会学习英语的乐趣。

2IV. Key and Difficult Points:

1. 学会运用How was.......来询问对过去发生事情的看法和感受。

2. 学会运用Did you.......? 的结构来询问或谈论过去发生的事情。

Step 1 Warm up

T:1.Play a video about trip.

2.Ask Qs about it.

Ss:1.Enjoy the video.

2.Answer the Qs.

Teaching purpose:This activity leads in the topic and creates a learning environment.

Step 2.Lead-in

T:1. Show Ss the picture of 1a

2. Ask Ss questions about the picture:

Who is she ?

Where is she?

Ss:1. Observe the picture.

2. Answer the questions.

3. Learn the new words of jobs:

Carol

farm,farmer,farming,

Teaching purpose:This activity lets students pay attention to the picture and think about the topic of this class.Students can learn some new words about farm.

Step 3. Presentation

T:1.Ask Ss to guess what Carol did on the farm yesterday.

2.Show them some pictures about the activities on the farm.

Ss:1. Try to say phrases about the pictures.

2. Learn new words about jobs.

Teaching purpose:Students can understand some new words.

Step 4. Play a game:

I do, you guess!

T:1. Give Ss an example.

One student acts, the other guesses.

Teaching purpose:Students remember the new words by playing a game.

Step 5. Play a game:

Look for friends

T:Show Ss pictures and ask them to say words and phrases Say words and phrases about the pictures.

Teaching purpose:Students learn to remember words and phrases.

Step 6.Pre-listening

Task 1 Section A 1a

T:Ask Ss to pay attention to the pictures and the phrases. Match the the pictures with the phrases.

Ss remember words and phrases

Teaching purpose:Students predict the content of the conversation.

Step 7. Pre-listening

Task 2 1b Predicting

T:1.T asks Ss to pay attention to the picture in 1b.

2.Ask them questions:

A: Who are they?

B: They are Bob and Carol

A: What are they doing?

B: They are talking about …

Ss:1.Observe the picture

2.answer the questions

Teaching purpose:Reduce the difficulty while listening

Step 8.While-listening

Task 1 Listen ans circle

T:1. Ask Ss to pay attention to the instructions.

2. Play the tape.

Ss:Listen and circle.

Teaching purpose:Students practicing writing while listening.

Step 9.Post-listening

Task 1 Listen and repeat

T:1. Play the tape again

2. Ask Ss to pay attention to the target language:

A:How was...?

B: It was great/good/terrible.

A:Did you ...?

B:Yes , I did. /No , I didn’t.

Ss:1. Listen and repeat.

2. Pay attention to the target language

Teaching purpose:Students find the target language of this class.

Step 10. Post-listening

Task 2 Pair work

T:1.Show Ss the phraese in 1a and target language.

2. Ask a few pairs to share their conversations.

Ss:1.Work in pairs

2. Make conversations with

“Did ” and “how”

3. Share conversations.

Teaching purpose:Students practice the target language.

Step 11.summary

T:Make a summary about the words,phrase and sentences.

Ss:Read and remember

Teaching purpose:Students remember the target language

Step 12.Homework

1总结本堂课动词并写出对应过去式。

2.用Did sb do sth?Yes,sb did./No,sb didn’t.句型以对话形式谈论Carol在农场的活动。
