The negative form of can “cant” or “cannot” means that it is not enough, impossible or forbidden.The word "can" is used in common with "be able to" to express ability. However, "can" is a modal verb with no change of person and number, followed by the original verb form, and the subject can be a person or an object, and can only be used in the general present and general past tenses. The subject can only be a person, and cannot be used in the passive voice. When we want to ask about someones ability, what someone can/will do, we use the sentence pattern "What can + subject + do + other? " to show what someone can/will do.
