一、长短句原则
老让读者读长句，累死人！写一个短小精辟的句子，相反，却可以起到画龙点睛的作用。而且如果我们把短句放在段首或者段末，也可以揭示主题： in a way quite similar.
强烈建议：
1.在文章第一段（开头）用一长一短；
2.在文章主体部分，先用一个短句解释主要意思，然后在阐述几个要点的时候采用先短后长的句群形式，定会让主体部分妙笔生辉！
3.文章结尾一般用一长一短就可以了。
二、主题句原则
议论性的文章一定要写一个主题句，放在文章的开头（保险型）或者结尾，让读者一目了然！

四、 短语优先原则
考试时，如果使用短语，有两个好处：

这样字数明显增加，表达也更准确。
五、 多实少虚原则
多用实词，少用虚词。我这里所说的虚词就是指那些比较大的词。比如我们说某人“很好”的时候，不应该之说nice这样空洞的词，应该使用一些诸如generous, humorous, interesting, smart, gentle, warm-hearted之类的形象词。再比如： 走出房间，虚的词是：walk out of the room
但是小偷走出房间应该说：slip out of the room
小孩走出房间应该说：dance out of the room
老人走出房间应该说：stagger out of the room
六、 多变句式原则
1）加法（串联）
都希望写下很长的句子，像个老外似的，可就是怕写错，怎么办，最保险的写长句的方法就是这些，可以在任何句子之间加and, 但最好是前后的句子有先后关系或者并列关系。
比如说：
I enjoy music and he is fond of playing guitar.
如果是二者并列的，我们可以用一个高级句式：
Not only the fur coat is soft, but it is also warm.
其它的短语可以用：
besides, furthermore, likewise（同样地）, moreover
2）转折（拐弯抹角）
批评某人缺点的时候，我们总习惯先拐弯抹角说说他的优点，然后转入正题，再说缺点。所以呢，我们说话的时候，只要在要点之前先来点废话，注意二者之间用个转折就够了。

3）因果

4）失衡句（头重脚轻，或者头轻脚重）

5）附加 运用定语从句和同位语从句或者是插入语。

其实很简单，同位语从句：要解释的东西删除后不影响整个句子的构成；定语从句：借用之前的关键词并且用其重新组成一个句子插入其中。
6）排比（排山倒海句）
引用一个个的排比句，一个个的对偶句，一个个的不定式，如此表达将会使文章有排山倒海之势！

在学生的文章中，很少发现诸如独立主格的句子，其实也很简单，它就是分词的一种特殊形式，分词要求主语一致，而独立主格则不然。比如：

主动不如被动巧
在近些年的阅卷中，发现考生在写作中很少使用被动语态，也许是受中文思维的影响，几乎整篇文章都使用主动语态。其实在英文中，被动语态的使用是很重要的。因为英语是一门客观的语言，而汉语是主观的语言，具体体现在英语中经常用被动语态，汉语经常用主动语态;英语中经常用物称或形式主语开头，强调一件事发生在什么人身上，而汉语经常用人称开头强调一个人发生了什么事。所以使用被动语态符合英语的习惯，如果能将整个文章中两个句子变成被动语态，就会呈现句型的变化，使整个文章句型丰富。例如在2006年的高考中，很多学生在表达我们每次可以借五本书最多借十天时，都是用：We can borrow five books at most, and we can keep them for ten days.这句话如果写成：At most five books can be borrowed at a time and they can be kept for ten days，分数会更高。
分词结构不能少
在前文提到，在书面表达中老师喜欢看到的高级语法共有五种：倒装，
强调，从句，独立主格和分词结构，以及虚拟语气。在所有的高级语法中，阅卷老师最喜欢看到的是独立主格和分词结构，其次是剩下的几项。但很多学生不知道如何在文章中使用这个最大的亮点。其实几乎所有的状语从句都可以变成独立主格或分词结构，时间状语从句，原因状语，条件状语等。例如条件状语从句：If such is the case, you should apologize to her. 如何变成独立主格或分词结构呢?学会下面的口诀，如果你的作文中有状语从句，马上可改成独立主格或分词结构这个最大的亮点。
口诀：一去，二看，三改。一去：去连词；二看：看主语；三改：改分词。

一篇文章通常可分为三个部分，即开头、正文和结尾。这三个部分安排是否得体，直接影响到文章的质量。
文章的开头一般来说应尽量做到开门见山，用简单明白的叙述引出文章的话题，使读者了解文章要谈论什么，一下于引起读者的兴趣。

Recently I did a survey about our school uniform. I interviewed groups of
students what they thought about our school uniform. The result is as following.

The marathon was NOT an event of the ancient Olympic games. The
marathon is a modern event that was first introduced in the Modern Olympic

Everybody has a dream. They hope that enemy become friends. So we hope the Japanese become our friends after the end of World War II, but now the enemy get back.
An island with no person living on named Fishing Island in East Sea of China, which is part of our holy homeland, now is in the control of the Japanese navy. Some people who love our motherland sailed to the island but were struck by the Japanese navy. Some of them got caught, and the Japanese navy refused to send them back to China at once! Environment Protection-保护环境
We live in the world every day. We eat food, drink water, wear clothes, watch TV, use computers and so on. We are producing waste every moment. Generally speaking, there are four sorts of waste. They are material waste,
organic waste, inorganic waste and poisonous & harmful waste. Now, we are going to talk about each sort of waste one by one.
Material waste: it means the waste of substance or things from which something else can be made. For example, people throw away the used metal products and buy a new one, so the old metal waste accumulates. At last, they become waste. For example, when people finish reading newspaper, the paper will become waste. When the glass is broken, it also becomes waste. Nobody wants to use a broken window or drink with a broken glass or wear a pair of broken glasses. Once it is broken, it becomes waste. The rate of using plastics is increasing day by day. People use plastic bags because they are convenient. When they get home, they throw the plastics way, paying no attention to the environment. The more convenience plastics brings to us, the more plastic waste is produced. This is called “white pollution” as most plastics are white. Some of our products we use every day are made of rubber, just like the tyres and the bottom part of our shoes. It’s true that rubber plays an important role in our life. However, it also brings us some trouble when it has been used for a long time and becomes old. The old tyres become waste because it can’t break down by nature. This is really a big problem.
Organic waste: it refers to waste from living things, including waste from animals, plants and people. Some parts of vegetables are thrown away as waste because they don’t taste good. In the past, people cooked their food using burning coal, so there left the burned coal, which is useless, like the thrown vegetables. All this sorts of waste contain organism, so it is called organic waste.
Actually, we also have inorganic waste, the opposite to organic waste, including building waste, broken pottery and china, and cinder.
The last part is harmful and poisonous waste, such as used batteries, electrical apparatus and medical supplies. Computers and TV sets are one part of electrical apparatus. You see, the old electrical apparatus can set off some dangerous rays and make the soil harder, even damage the under ground water. Mobile phones are as dangerous as computers and TV sets. As we know, X-rays can be used to examine patients, but the X-rays machines are dangerous when they are thrown away without any treatment. They can’t be used to treat the sick, but they still can give off rays. For the normal people, they can be dangerous. So, we must think about this problem.As waste has four sorts, we can sort them into each sort that they belong to. It’s convenient to treat them after they are sorted. Then we can deal with them sort by sort. We have thought out some methods like storing them in order to change them into plant food, or burning them in a huge stove and use the heat to make electricity. For the first way, the change rate is much too low and it may pollute the under ground water. For the second one, of course it’s wonderful if it’s easy to be tried out. But to build such a huge stove will cost too much. Not a good method. Now you see,
treating waste is not an easy job.
From what has been discussed above, we can do something to our home—the earth. We should make full use of things. At the same time, we’d better reduce its harmful effect as much as possible.
We can do from the basic of waste. That’s to say, we can reduce the production of waste, and reuse and recycle them as much as we can. Take material waste for example. Nearly all of them can be recycled and reused. And, we should call for using things made of paper instead of plastics so as to protect our environment.

The Cause offire
As we all know, fire is one of the most terrible killers in our modern society.We know that fire is mainly caused by smokers, followed by defective insulations and children playing with matches. Those who smoke should make sure that the cigarettes are stubbed out before being thrown away. Also, smoking should not be allowed in public places. 30 percent of fire was caused by defective insulation. Workers should know the importance of good insulation for people's lives. At homes we must pay special attention to electric wires and make sure that they are safe. 20 percent of fire are caused by children playing with matches. We should warn children of the danger of playing with matches.
No matter what type of the reason it was, there was one thing in common:carelessness. So if everyone in the country is careful enough, more fire could be avoided.

Taiwan Is Part of China
About 1500 years ago Chinese settled there, but the Dutch imperialist invaded there in the 17th century. After that, in 1662 Zheng Chenggong, a hero of nation,drove them out.Since 1683 the island was ruled by Qing Dynasty nearly two centuries.
Unfortunately Taiwan was seized by Japanese after the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895. It didn't come back until the Second World War ended.

Development and the Environment
It is undeniable that the worsening environment has become the biggest concern of the present-day world. Land resources are dwindling because of water loss and soil erosion. Waste gases poison the air we breathe. The rivers and lakes are polluted by waste dumped in them from factories. It is probably no exaggeration to say that deterioration of the quality of the environment threatens the existence of mankind itself.
Some people are of the opinion that the environmental problem is the price we have to pay for economic development. But I do not think that this argument is valid. After all, what is the point of economic growth if people's lives are adversely alfected by worsening environmental pollution?
There is plenty of evidence to show that sustainable development can be achieved by balancing economic growth with protection of the environment. The key to achieving this is to make people aware of the seriousness of the problem. Both governments and ordinary citizens should join hands to make this world a better place to live in, not only for ourselves, but also for future generations.
